The Quantum Crowd

Body as a sack
of bones.  Body as lesson.
Body as allergy, attacked
while it's attacking.  Body as uncertain
splendor.        As a lesson.

Body as rivulets of energy.  As charged
weight.  Body as lightening with hushed
thunder.  Body as oil and
fat and blubber.  As enzyme.
As transcendental
                                         number.

Body as brother.  As chains
whirling in the
matter.  Body blundered
and un-blundered.  Bumbled and
bumbled.  As un-lover.

Body of another.  Body
as advanced machine.  As branch
with bark
and leaves.  Erroneously ever-
lasting.  Like summer.  Body
raw and body
baked with dirt and worms
and microscopic
          bones in a bunker.

Body animate.  A feast of
carcass becoming body, single-
minded body.  Cathedral bodies.
Sound bodies without mind and sound
minds without
                            anybody.

Body accidental and
essential.  Functional and
ornamental.  Body tattered
like something
left out in the
           weather.

Body burned and smoked
like ganja, breathed in and held
within another.  Body healed and
held within another.  Body cleaned
and seen
by all the others.

Radiant body exhaling body-shaped
penumbras all around us.
Bodies grown from ground like
cabbage.  Root
body
of stalk body,
up and taller.  Body turning into
the same
body.  Bodies changed and
                    monumental.

Bodies full of strength and fluid.
Bodies gone.  Nanoscopic.
Wrapped in plastic and recovered.
Bodies
                     touching.

Everybody subatomic and becoming
nothing.  Like zombis,
blank as ciphers, nothing

                             naught as
                             not any
things,
as the skeletons that
                    brought us.
